| british movie (?)
I need help with the title of a movie, please!
All I can remember is that:
The story took place in England in a sleepy village/town.
The British army and special forces were involved I cannot remember if
any american troops or specialists were there.
There was a plague or virus spreading that came from aliens or alien
phenomena, no cure or way to stop it. I think it involved influencing
their thoughts, behavior, and brain function.
The only way to stop it was exploding a nuclear bomb(s) at the very end
of the movie.
The very last scene was a woman (scientist? doctor? army?) who finally
was infected going outside after everyone deserted and evacuated the
town(s) and she looked up and then white light explosion (bomb going
off)
I do not recall monsters, or creatures in it; more of a could happen in
real life senario-sort of.
This played for several hours one Sunday, so I'm thinking it was a
British mini series of some sort and not a weekly tv program; or perhaps
it was just a long movie.
I have searched under British movies, British mini series, nuclear and
disaster movies/mini series and am at a loss of where to go next. Please
help!
It was slow moving, but well done and a pretty good story line.
