Anyone know any horror movies that will freak you out so bad?
Hi, I love horror movies but I heard that the classics are the best. Can anyone tell me some that are extremely scary that will make you wanna hide under your bed? Lol. Thanks
I know most people hate this movie, but it creeped me out for weeks when I first saw it opening weekend at the theatre... Blair Witch...I have a terribly vivid imagination, and most of the gore movies im just numb to due to the fact that I watch them all the time....so if you give me a movie, where my imagination is the villain, Im scared out of my mind literally...wow! brilliant.
otherwise, watch the hills have eyes alone in a dark room, and youll start hearing those guys...lol...I also was afraid of the exorcist as a child, and poltergeist really freaked me out when I was younger. Im still frightened of the shining, and leprechaun has given me a deep fear of little people....no offense to any out there, its psychological, i think i saw this for the first time when i was 5....LOL
I thought the Blair Witch was creepy as well. Especially if you attempt to put yourself in that kind of a situation. I think it would've been so much better had it not been "leaked" that it was fake.
Wolf Creek was pretty good - there was one scene that just comes out of no where and gives you a nice scary movie surprise!
I love 28 Days Later and a lot of the slasher flicks from the 70's and 80's. Halloween is great (the new one is horrible), and Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of my favorites. I also really like Friday the 13th. Nightmare on Elm Street never did it for me - I always hated that Freddy talked, lol. Silence of the Lambs is good, Cannibal Holocaust wasn't bad, and there's a German film from the 1930's called "M" that I thought was great. No gore, no violence, but the use of shadows, music and pacing was amazing. I also really liked Nosferatu.
The Rob Zombie movies, House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects were gory and Sherri Moon Zombie's laugh is just nuts. It all depends on what you're looking for!
did anyone see , "Sand Man" i saw that awhile back, i thought it was ok. i liked it cause they turned him into glass at the end. i cant really remeber if it was the scary, and what about the first "Candy man" that had some good parts to it.
I Cannibal Holocaust wasn't bad, and there's a German film from the 1930's called "M" that I thought was great. No gore, no violence, but the use of shadows, music and pacing was amazing. I also really liked Nosferatu.
I saw Cannibal Holocaust for the first time a couple weeks ago. Because it's been banned and panned, I thought I might enjoy it. The parts of the film involving animals were just too hard to watch. Plus I was eating lasagna...
"M" is probably one of the creepiest films ever. I only ever saw it because it came in a Fritz Lang collection. The whistling was what made it eerie.
Werner Herzog's Nosferatu is the most visually appealing.
My favorite horror film right now is from France. It's titled High Tension, and it's kind of like Texas Chainsaw Massacre-meets-Fight Club. WIth chicks. One big, fun creepy psychological bloodbath.

I think what made Cannibal Holocaust so tough to watch and so disgusting was the animal scenes, but I have to admit, the scenes with the filmmakers violating and abusing the tribesmen were really graphic and bad.
High Tension was good, I had forgotten about that one. Some of the things that happened didn't make a lot of sense to me given the ending (like the first scene with the guy in the truck) but it was pretty well done anyway. I thought it was creative and liked the twist they took with the girl.
