90's kid's movie...Please Help!!!

O.K. for a while i've been remembering a movie i watched when i was a kid in the 90's i don't have much to describe it but it's an animated kids fantasy about a little boy named Mimo...and during the movie there is a closet or dungeon in a kindom that holds an evil, black, blob-looking creature that eventually get out and Mimo ends up having to save the kingdom and the land.
Please help i don't know if i'm crazy or if this really is a movie

haha i was lookin for the same movie and its called little nemo and the adventures in slumberland i was goin crazy tryin to find it but yea thats it

Yes this is Nmo I watched that movie so many times it was not funny. My Daughter is a 90's modle, it was Nemo and Sillyville OMG. one too many time for me. but i guess not because I am going to go get it out of the closet and watch it now good sunday afternoon movie for a rainy day, which it had done here all weekend (O:
