I saw this film in 1985/6ish it was about a scientist who invented a machine that let you see the things floating around you that were invisable and it showed your inner desires I think.
He had students in to study his work and used the machine on them, I can only remember one bit. The scientist went into the dome that the machine made and he turned into a multi limbed monster thing and dragged one of the female students in and he had a long tongue and licked her then killed her she was wearing kinky under wear (i think if that helps).
I have for years thought it was called From Beyond but i have never been able to find it anywhere please help me...before i build my own machine and rewrite the movie

I believe it is indeed From Beyond ... Netflix and Blockbuster both have it available for rental, and Amazon has it available for sale.
