so i've got a little 200 and i was riding it the other day and i stop turn it off and then go to start it back up but the kick start is stuck. so me and a buddy tore it apart.. we thought the engine was seized but it isn't. we can get the piston to move up and down and after we turn it the kick start will work once then it will be stuck again until we turn the motor again any ideas?

Stuck as in absolutely firmly won't turn even a few degrees? Or gets tight when you get to the bottom of the kick?

Don't mean to insult, but have you looked to make sure nothing is blocking it from turning?

And yes, what kind of bike, what vintage?
