    Surrendering mobile homes
I have a mobile home which is in a park on rented land. The mobile home is old, has water damage and black mold. I do not have the money to fix it up to be able to have it sold through the mobile home real estates guys. They have stated that it is unlivable and they can not leagally sell it. I did have an interested party that wanted to buy it and move it up to land. The bank would not except this as it was 4,500. Less than what I owe. I do not live in the home anymore(moved out 11-1-09) and told the bank that I was going to do a surrender of the property. They agreed and winterized the property. Then in February they started calling me about my late payments on the loan. They then informed me that they didn't want the property. The park wants to remove the home so they can put a new one in the spot. The bank will not work with me or answer any questions that I have. They just keep telling me to pay or they will sue me. I am not sure what my next few steps in getting rid of this is. Please help!

You are not going to get rid of this problem. Do you have the bank's original agreement that you were surrendering it in writing?

You are responsible for the balance on the loan unless you can make other arrangements with the bank.

If the bank will not negotiate with you you can always consult with an Attorney.

Unfortunately this is a debt you cannot simply walk away from.
