mortgage holder has passed away

When we purchased our home it was financed in my husband name only. Since that time he has passed away. I am on the deed and it is registered within the county which we live. I have continued to make the payments on the home loan. Do I need to tell the mortgage company about his death? If so, what happens to the loan? Will I have to get the house re-financed in my name?

Since this is a secured loan its secured by the property. Tell then lender your husband is deceased, they will probably just add your name to the loan.
