Mortgage Deed

Hi,

Is a mortgage deed, the same as a warranty deed? If not where would I be able to get a copy of my mortgage deed?

You can get a copy from your title company. If you do not know the title company you have...then check your documents from your last refinance, the title company is listed. You paid them fees...you should know who they are. If you didn't refinance and you purchased your home or it was inherited to you then you have to contact your homeowners insurance company.

Your "DEED" is filed at the court house, you should have gotten a copy of it when you bought the house, There are dozens of types of deeds, if you have a warranty deed that is the deed you have.

A mortage is a mortage, and is filed against your deed.
