Adding name to mortgage

I would like to add my name to another persons mortgage and become half responsible for the mortgage. How do I go about this and what all is required

Most mortgage companies would require that at least you undergo a credit check.

Some would require that the mortgage be completely refinanced.

Your best bet is to call the mortgage company and ASK!
