Narcoleptic Dell monitor.

I have an old Dell D1025HT Monitor, UltraScan 1000HS series, 17''. I have been using it with an adapter for an old Mac. Trouble is, it keeps going into sleep mode when I am using it. The Mac is too old to have the EnergyStar feature. The Dell does it with this PC too. It there anyway to turn off, disable, or even fix this? I am sure I can replace a 17'' CRT for less than it would cost to pay to have it fixed. Still it would be better for the environment not to chuck it in the land fill. I can move a jumper, cut a wire, even replace a relay if I have to. If there is a soft ware reset, give the instructions for Windows 98 or Mandrake 10, KDE.

Yeah, the Power Mac is ready for the computer room in the sky too, but it is still a powerful machine that my wife knows how to use, has all her files on, even if has trouble with some over done websites.
