monitor sleeping immediately

My monitor seems to be in sleep mode upon startup. What might cause this? How do I get my monitor to work immediately?

Hi there

I was just wondering, does your monitor work at all on your computer or not? as this will help me to answer your question.

Thanks

Yes, the monitor works on this computer. I have to hit the on/off button of the monitor about 20 times before it finally works when I 1st start the computer. I can turn off the computer and monitor, come back 2 hours later and the monitor works fine. Seems to be the 1st time of the day is the worst. Please advise. Thanks

hi again

I had this exact same problem, but my monitor stopped working completely after a few days so i took it to a computer repair company and they said it was broken and I had to buy a new one.

So, my advice would be to first try the monitor on another computer and if it still doesn't work take it to a computer repair shop to get it looked at

Hope this is of some help
