"no video signal"

I just moved my computer from one desk to another and when I booted it up the monitor says "no video input" and goes to sleep. I made sure the cord was secure, even tried another cord from a new computer. I tried the new monitor too and same message. Could it be the video card? The monitor is new and was working fine with that computer until I moved it. The monitor is an ACER.
Thanks
