My moniter wont change from 640x480

hiya my My moniter wont change from 640x480 and i have just reinstalled my vga card drivers but it still wont work i really dont know why so if you can help please do

But the laptop has a diff video chipset. Find out what that is and see if they have updated drivers. Anyone running Win7 runs the risk of not having drivers that match some of their devices; it's the same with any pre-release of a new OS.

Kind of expected that with your Win7 install. But they would great in Win95!
