check signal cable on my screen

On my monitor it says check signal cable

Usually 1 of 2 things, either a bad monitor or video card

If you have access to another (Known Working) monitor, hook it up to see if it works - if so, it was the monitor

If a known working monitor has some issue, would need to get hold of a video card and replace one you have to see if that was the issue
