How can I fax having dsl on my computer....Right now I un plug the phone connection and the dsl plug, connect the fax then hook everything back up....when I due it messes up my computer and can't connect for awhile...isn't there an easier way???:

Plug the filter in the wall, plug computer in to computer out on filter. then plug fax in voice port, then phone into fax.
You could also have a 2 or 3 way line splitter which would plug into voice(phone) port then plug in a fax, a phone, answering machine, caller ID or any other CO type device.
Only computer should be on the data port.
