Hi my name is Ken my girlfriend has never met her father. She only has a picture and a first name {Chris) and a little bit of info. The info is that he was in mornville October of 1981 he was employed for CN but did not live in mornville he was out of town or just passing through is there any way to look up any records of everyone that worked for CN that year in or around edmonton Alberta that year or is there anyway to search for someone by only a picture and a first name? any information would be helpful thank you!

First it is nice you want to help but at times some things are not possible.
I guess if you had enough money you post a copy of the photo in major newspapers and see if anyone knows them. But in this case, the man most likely does not even know he has a child, so he is not looking.

And if the mother does not even know his last name it was obviously not a seroius or long term relatinship

So unless the mother has some more info, there may be little you can do
