What you will have to do, is some good old fashioned leg work.

Speak to the neighbours, and the past owners if possible. Although they may not be willing to disclose information. In fact, I read case where a couple who bought a haunted house took the seller, and the realtor to court, because it was not disclosed. In that case, there was well documented evidence, and it was a well known fact that anybody who lived there reported strange happenings. No idea how it was resolved, it was a few years back now.

You can visit your local land registry, and look for prior owners that may still be in the area. Depending upon the age of the house, check with the local library archives and search for information on that address. (There could have been a prior dwelling or busness on that land).

If it was a homestead, or if there are graveyards nearby. You could find interesting information there that will help in your search if you are able to match up names of families, particularly generational.

Start keeping notes. Date, time, event, investigation, impressions. Over time,you may find that events are repeating themselves, and the more familiar and comfortable you become with these events, the more meaning they may have.

You could also search for psychics in your area, or investigators of the paranormal. Much investigation today is done with very sophisticated equipment.

Try not to be afraid, and instead put some investigative elbow grease into finding answers. Good luck.

I believe I seen a ghost this morning no lie, it was watching me sleep and I woke up and I seen a unwanted visitor staring at me in a evil way. I didn't know what to do so I Put my hands over my my heart just enough to break his stare. When I finally put my arms down he was gone in a matter of minutes. It was a tall figure, looked like an grown adult man about in his 20's. He looked as if he had blonde hair but his eyes were so evil when he looked at me he was so mad like he wanted to take me apart. Please someone help me if you know anything that I can do? I am a christian and last night I was writing john 3:16 on my leg and then I felt a weird vibe in the room with me. I am scared and My dad thinks it was a hallucination but I know what I saw, I saw someone staring at me and I was awake because it didn't appear and disappear. It stayed there staring at me for a few minutes. Please can someone anyone tell me what to do?

Also me and my dad have both been woke up by a voice screaming in our ears. Then this morning we both had a bad dream about there being people in the house that we didn't know. This is real no lie I seen a ghost this morning. It is freaky!
