find my dad, i cant

Of late i have be more and more curious about who my dad is.
My mum only knows of his name and she doesnt know how to spell it.
his first name is scott but his last name is a bit different,
it is pronounced.. (mu-rec-e)
but i have no idea how to spell this or veen if the pronounceation is correct..
it could be scott maurece
scott marecey

i have no idea..
a few more details is he is from pembrokeshire in wales, and is probs about 40 now ..
i dont know what to do

help anyone? i ill be eternally greatefull

This is almost impossible without the correct spelling - it could be just about anything.

How is it spelled on your birth certificate - if he's listed.

He is not listed on my birth certificate,
I been asking my family for his date of birth but then seem reluctant to help really
