I'm prior Navy 38 yrs old with 5 yrs of service (Parachute Rigger 1995-2000 RE-1 honorable). I am seriously considering re-enlisting into one of the branches under a different rating. My question however, deals more so with my current domestic situation. I am happily married with two young boys, but I have been extremely unhappy with my career path ever since getting out. I have discussed the issues with my wife, and she is supportive. I am interested in hearing from a member that has dealt with similar issues, that may be able to lend career advice. I have been in Buds (SEALs training), but I am thinking of a more family oriented move, while still maintaining 'high speed, low drag' profession. I'd like to go AW (SAR swimmer) in Helo squadron, or law enforcement field. Maybe EOD if available.
