Remember that every other 7th grader will be nervous too! Some just hide it better. Be yourself and step outside your comfort zone a little at a time. Try saying hi to someone new, partner up with someone you don't know in a lab. I used to be very shy but with time and practice I slowly expanded my comfort zone and now I am much happier. It wasn't easy and it was scary at times but if you take it slow and be persistant it will pay off! Good luck in the 7th grade!

Hi, smiley123!

Perhaps you could visit the school in the summer and ask someone in the office or a teacher to give you a tour?

Thanks!

Hi Smiley123!
Im starting middle school to in August 17,2009! Im totally nervous! Im on the shy side! Some advice i can give is....
1. Be youself!
2. Do your best on any school work and if you dont understand the lesson ask the teacher!
3. Try to stay out of drama and bullies!
4. I would suggest not be in a relationship because they take you away from your school work and friends! If you want one you can!
5. Have Fun! Enjoy middle school while you can!
Well i hope 6th good for u!

Remember this: in a few years, you will all seem like enormously immature dorks, and you're all nervous. Some just hide it better.

Just work hard, find time to hang out, don't worry about dating yet. It's all drama when you're younger and really not worth it.

I would just be yourself. Everyone else in your grade is going to be just as nervous as you are. lIf you're worried about older kids picking on you, just remember that about 2 years ago, they were in the same position as you. I would go to the school over the summer for a tour and to see your locker. Just be sure to know who your friends are and avoid drama. Good Luck
