mathematics qquation

a,b,c,d are for different whole numbers. if axc = axa, axb = b, a+c = d

If a=4 what is the value of c? and how? (I know simple answer is 4) but wanted to confirm.

Thanks a lot

Yep, divide both sides of the first equation by a. You are left with c = a.
