i just moved to a new neighborhood and i have no friends school won't start till the end of summer and i don't know where to meet people, i am a little shy but am super fun once people get to know you me, HELP
just i need tips on how to meete people please
i was and still am a shy person and let me tell you, its no fun. i am a very nice person but since i was so shy, people couldnt see that in me. they thought that i was a stuck up . im 20 now and it still happens. i will meet someone new and never have much to say, so they assume that im rude and what not. break the cycle now. being shy is worse than most people think. i know its hard to get over but if you could be more outgoing and make just small conversations with people, it will go a long way. i promise.
Find events going on in the neighborhood where people your age will be meeting. Go and be socialble. I know its hard coming up with things to say when your shy. Believe me, been there done that. I was shy all through school until I went to college and I still find it difficult sometimes to not get tongue tied or have a mind blank. Start simple. You and the potential friend have at least one thing in common. The place you met, so say something about what's going on around you. Also if you find places that people your age hang out at, that's also got good potential. Sometimes local schools or churches have summer programs and they are always divided by age groups, so you could get involved and meet people that way. Church youth groups and vacation bible programs are good places to make friends over the summer.
