Writing it down always helps. When you are happy or sad, it helps to express those feelings. Sometimes when I write my "junk" down I keep going and going and did not even know I really felt like that, sometimes I see myself as selfish, or bratty, or really giving. It helps to write it all down. I hope that you do.

Clough agrees: It's very much like looking at yourself from outside yourself. Writing things down can truly help us to reflect on who we are.

no they just give u hand cramps. Unless ur really interesting. Then if u write 1 someone might make a movie about it wen u die. JK! I dont think so unless ur passion is writing. If not let ur emotion show through wat u love to do. Unless ur a model or something jk.

startover22 agrees: You don't have to write it, you could type it. Put it in your files or something. Just do it, it feels gooood!

Why not make an appointment with a counselor or a psychologist? It's their job to help people deal with such issues. It's confidential and they're usually very nice people and helpful, too!

A diary might help, but I cannot tell for sure; I've never kept one myself.

If you're depressed, a diary won't teach you how to deal with depression; psychologists do.

Good luck!

I tell you what, just let this be a way to let it out. If you are saying you don't want therapy, a journal would be great but I talk on here and it helps.....So go ahead. We will listen, doesn't have to be anything in particular. I will start......I have four kids and they drive me nuts, I love them but they can really get to me. My husband is a wonderful man but hard headed. Hope you can start out with something simple you can get to the stuff that really bothers you in time!

For me a diary has always helped. It's my place to vent! When your hand hits the paper all of those emotions flow out and stick to it. What's best is that you can go back to your writings in the future and refer to them. It is a completely wonderful way to release stress, feelings, heartaches, happiness! I highly recommend it. You don't have to write all pretty either or spell things right...just scratch it down!

alott of people say that they do but for me they dont.. just try it and see bcuz every1 is different and personally i'd rather say it then write it but sometimes writing it helps bcuz after time goes by i can look back and see how much somethin meant to me at the time and i realize how much i've grown

Clough agrees: Then I would add writing small prayers to parts of your journal or diary about how you would like God to help you and to give thanks to God, also. It can really help you to sort things out in your life as you reflect on what you have written
