Failed Suicide

Hello everybody. Im new here. Basically this is the backgrd to my question. About 3 months ago I was in a really bad car crash. I was basically lucky to be alive pretty much. But the thing is that at first i didn't recall how it happened, but i began to realize that it was not an accident. I tried to kill myself by going 80 mph off a highway overpass 3 stories tall. My parents sorta know. And my friends think it. My question is... is it okay if i just never talk about it? I mean why i tried to commit suicide. I think my friends wont see me the same way anymore if i explained it to me. It doesnt really make sense to me either..sometimes. I was in a bad state of mind. Really angry and hopeless and basically wanted to end it. Now i feel ok. Im happy to be alive but i hope i can continue a life where basically people dont see me differently because of failed suicide.

If it is still on your mind I think you should talk about it with a person you are comfortable with or try and get in a support group. If they are really your friends they will understand and be supportive. Your parents will want to make sure you are okay as well. Your parents will always love you no matter what.

As long as you no longer want to kill yourself then its okay I supose. But maybe seeing a professional to discuss it would be a good idea.

You should feel so thankful to be alive. Thats a pretty serious car accident someone or something was definitely looking out for you that night, hopefully it made you realize how precious and amazing life is.

However, you may want to talk to a counselor or a therapist about why you would do something like that. Suicide is a pretty murky thing and sometimes it helps to work through it with a trained professional.

I'm glad your alright and I wish you luck getting back on a healthy track.

I feel it would be wise to discuss the issue with someone like a therapist.
If you had these feelings before, then it's quite possible that you'll have them again.
You truly tried to kill yourself whereas some people just do minor things trying to get attention.
You are lucky to be alive and I strongly feel that your issues need to be talked about so that there are no future incidences.
Next time you may not be so lucky...

I'm glad you're alright physically, but I feel you need to speak to a professional about whats going on inside that head of yours.

Best wishes.
