Hey,i'm only 14,about to be 15 in a few days, and about a month ago i got really stressed
and i cut my wrist. Then i confessed it to my best friend who understood and made me pinky promise never to do it again.About a week later i found myself doing it once more.I've stopped now,but i am still suffering from severe anxioty, depression, and stress.
And i need to find a way to tell my parents so they can possibly find me help.I dont know how to tell them how i've been feeling.Do i need professional help or will church do the trick?(my friends idea)I just need some advice on exactly what to do.If anyone has any advice i would like to hear from you as soon as possible.
thanks,
michelle
You have to get help immediately...the longer this thinking that causes the behavior goes on, the more entrenched it will become.
Tell your parents you want to go to your family doctor as soon as possible. They will ask you why, and then.....tell them about the cutting. Your physician knows of resources where you can get help.
Remember, you can always go to your family physician directly.....
Make a doctors appointment s/he will see you on your own, but your parents should be told. You need to be very, very careful. You could cut your wrist too deep and be unable to stop the bleeding. You could also damage a tendon and lose the use of your hand. You must stop this NOW!! Talk to someone NOW!! You're worried your parents will be hurt, how hurt do you think they will feel if you hurt yourself real bad and they were not able to help you?
