Sore penis after sex

My boyfriend and I have an active sex life, and every now and again, after multiple, particularly vigorous sessions over a short space of time, his penis will be red and tender for sometimes up to a week after. But now, he's got the same symptoms despite the fact we've only had sex a couple of times in the past week, because I had my period.

Is this something he needs to see a doctor about? Does it sound like an STD or merely a result of too much friction. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

If I were him I would go to a Doctor and soon, but it is possible that it is you that needs to see a doctor, it could be something in your system causing his soreness.

If you trim or shave in that region is it possible that he is getting irritation from stubble? Or, are you using a spermacide or a douching solution that he could be reacting to? If none of these, I agree with the previous member that he should see a dermatologist to determine if he has a skin condition.

I'm glad he found out and will get proper treatment. You should be checked to because you could have it too.
