Something that's got me a little fearful.

Alright, so I've scanned through a bunch of posts and haven't really noticed any (though there have been some similar to my issue) related to this.

Here's the deal... At some moment back in the day, I was taking a shower and had notice that there were several (extremely) small bumps on the right side of my penis under the head, but none were found elsewhere. Considering how much of a worry wart I am (with certain instances), I instantaneously called my physician for a check-up. He had exclaimed to me that it (looks like) might be HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) and had referred me to a dermatologist and at the time prescribed me with a cream; 'Aldara'.

During my time here I had also done some clinical tests for HIV/STD's... which came back as negative.

So the day to see the dermatologist came (here I am sweating buckets in the waiting room... waiting for an answer to be thrown my way) and upon seeing him, he had told me... "Oh that's not HPV... a guy came in the other day with the same exact thing... worried that is was..." [Me] "What is it then?" [Doc] "It's a gland. The 'Aldara' would've cleared that right up." (Or it went something like that, I don't fully recall all of what was said).

So there I was, relieved that I hadn't contracted anything. Days passed on, months came and went... yet I still sit (today) pondering and fretting, still fearful that it is something...

Some time ago, I had asked my dad to look at it... again, reciting to me another optimistic remark... "It's nothing, you're getting yourself worked up for nothing." And once again, I was relived.

The past several days I've been getting fearful once again that is HAS to be something (I'm unaware of)... So here I am trying to find an answer from an outside source... someone who probably knows more than I about this sort of situation. I know a possible solution to this would be... going about it all over again... go to doctor and ask the same questions and ask for another dermatologist... But I thought I'd give this a shot first.

*NOTE*

These bumps have never gotten bigger, nor have multiplied, nor have they been discolored to my skins pigmentation [i.e. turned red, black, purple, green, whatever] or reactive to any sort of physical acts [pain doesn't seem to be an issue with these mysterious bumps]... thought they (from my eyes) become more visible and easily identifiable (to me) from time to time (considering how small these several bumps are they're not really 'POPPING' out at you unless you get relatively close to the area with bright light and eyes). It just depends on what I do... they appear to change appearance to me.

Thanks a lot for any help... and my apologies for such a lengthy post.

Sounds like sebaceous cysts to me. A sebaceous cyst is where body oils are trapped under the skin and do not escape through the pores. If you have a clean bill of health there is really nothing to worry about. This is rather common.
