| | | One dark red bump in cheek of mouth This mourning i woke up with a pretty big, dark red colored bump inside my mouth on my cheek. I looks like a blood blister but isnt, its so dark it looks black. It looks to be perfectly round. I looked at pictures of hpv and they are all white and nothing like the color of the one in my mouth. Any suggestions as to what it might be? I am a male and havnt had oral sex. Could i have got an std from kissing? The only other thing i could think it could be from is that i went to the dentist and got a cleaning and then got a filling inwhich they numbed the one side of my face but that was the opposite side then the side this bump is on. | | | | | | |

| I think i have the same thing, mine is above the last tooth number 32 on right inner cheek, its getting redder around the dark blue blister, as soon i saw it went directly to Oral Surgeon, he took pictures, thinks its blood vessel rupture due to open bite i have. Gave me antibiotic (amox 500), ibuprofen 800 (mortrin) and vicodin and has asked me to come back after 3 days , maybe surgery & biopsy ! I hope it goes away soon, cannot bear to see it everytime i open my mouth ! Anyone please any updates or experiences, appreciate it. JB7777 whats the progress on your front ? |

JB7777 whats the progress on your front ? | I'm still in the dark on this one. I visited my ENT physician today, however, the last blister ruptured several days ago. This has been the case each time. In essence, the blister's rupture before the physician can see it. However, effective today, I no longer have to have an appointment. When the next one comes up, they will take me. So, that's a plus. I can say, however, the ENT physician has never heard of what I described and he's one of the highest rated physicians in the area. He's also suggested that, if possible, I take a digital photo of it myself. What ever this is, it must be quite rare. When I hear something, I'll post it. Good luck. |

| Finally after about 4 weeks this went away by itself. But i must say i did puncture it a few times (over 2-3 days) with a plastic fork and also continued for 2 weeks with Pain Killer and Antibiotic that the Dental Surgeon precribed. It looks like it was a physical rupturing of the gums or flesh in the mouth and took its own time to go away. But it is very scary & dangerous and wierd and so i did show it to atleast 2 dental specialists - all had the same advise - biopsy and cutting it off. But since it was completely PAINLESS absolutely NO PAIN i decided to time it out & see how it goes and luckily it did go away in 3-4 weeks. Take care ! |

| I have two on the inside of my left cheek now. I had the very same thing last year and it went away on it's own in a few days. They are usually at the "bite line" where my teeth come together on the inside of my cheek. They are no bigger than a pinhead and look reddish, black. As long as they don't get bigger or look infected...no biggie, I think. |
