| | | Bump on my Penis I am 18 and a virgin, so I'm pretty sure that I don't have a std. But there is a bump on my shaft twards the bottom where the penis starts. It isjust kinda a swollen lump, no white spot or anything. I don't know if this helps but it appeared after I shaved my panis hair. Any help would be appreciated as I am very nervous about going to the doctor about it. | | | | | | |

| You could have caused an infected hair when you shaved. Is there pain? If there is pain it could be an infected hair. How deep is the bump? Is there pain? Does it only show up if there is an erection? If it does, it could be a vein. It it is there all of the time and there is no pain, you might want to see a doctor. It might be a little embarassing but it could save your life or at least save your . |

| It is there all the time, there is not much difference when I am erect. It doesn't hurt, it is painless unless I mess with it. I thought it was just a pimple of sorts and squezzed it trying to pop it but nothing happened, it just got redder. I'm not sure what you mean by deep. If you want to know anything else let me know. |

| It may be embarrassing but if it doesn't go away soon, I feel that you should see a doctor. Better to be more safe than sorry. |

| You should make an appointment with your doctor. Make sure it is a male doctor to lessen the embarrassment. While in the office, just keep remembering, the doc has a penis too.
It would be much better to know that it is an ingrown hair rather than a tumor of one sort or another. |

| the bumps could be hair bumps..but make sure of all things go the doctor...nothing should shock the doctor...if that does find a new one...if you have privacy issues go to the health clinic's like Plan Parenthood...or free clinics... |

| See a doctor. Don't be afraid of the doctor either. There's a 50% chance they have one as well, so don't be ashamed. Don't get nervous of a bad result either. You'll only make it worse by not doing anything about it.
And one more thing. If you see a female doctor, don't be embarrased either. Doctors look at these things all the time. |

| A clear layer peeled off of it, I think it was only there from me trying to pop it like a pimple. I'm not sure but I think it got smaller. I also noticed what looked like 3 little dots on it, I was also wondering, cause it is more shaped like a blister, could a insect have bitten me, as I do sleep in the nude. |

| You need to have this checked out, as we have all said. Make an appointment with a male urologist. He sees penises everyday in his practice, and even has one himself! That will make it less embarrassing. |
