All I remember was that this family moves into a house or castle like duplex house. It is haunted and either the wife or dauther of the ghost was murdered or had fallen on the stairs. There was blood on the carpet where she fell that's the part I mostly remember . Is it Beetlejuice or another movie?

I can say it's not Beetlejuice. There are no murders, or anyone bleeding on carpets.
