| Experience:
I'm in the process of obtaining a license to operate a nonprofit animal rescue shelter in Texas. I've lived with and cared for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses, roosters, rodents, snakes, and birds. I've volunteered at shelters and pounds for about 5 years and take pride in my ability to train and care for cats and dogs especially. I am by no means a vet or a certified trainer. I just have lifelong experiences and a bleeding heart when it comes to animals.
****UPDATE**** Well it seems as if my plans for a nonprofit need to be put on hold. We just moved here to Texas this past March (from NC; husband was active duty marine for 8 years), closed on our first house in June and added 2 puppies to our brood! My husband will be starting online classes back up and we have some straightening out to do with our finances. Not to mention it will be quite a task finding an appropriate location and means for funding of the place!! We've got some saving to do!! Anyway, I've been through a lot of things in life, a difficult childhood, I divorced my 1st husband of 38 days at a very young age, death, loved ones deploying to Iraq, and a variety of other life experiences. I'm polite and easygoing and I will not mislead anyone or pretend to know things I know nothing or very little about. Life is a journey and I'm thankful for everything that has ever happened to me because it's those very experiences, wether good or bad, that made me who I am today!
