- I am a Vet, assistant and have been for 7 years,I also managed a animal shelter for 6 years and prior to that I volunteered for the same shelter.I have at least 15+ years of animal experience.I have 5 dogs and a cat all rescued from either a shelter or neglectful owner or with my cat he liked the place and stayed.I have a Min.Pin. that is nearly 15,owner gave her up when she was 9 because she wanted a younger dog,my pug came from the clinic,he has some slight brain damage from auto acc.My Beagle was thrown out on a strip job and was beaten, was brought to clinic and she bonded with me,will bite anyone in work boots. One of my Boxers was given up by owner because she could'nt be bred after her pelvis was injured in auto acc.bonded with me and my other boxer came from shelter, tumor, heartworms, body score of 2 and pymetra, all well now, no cancer,no heartworms and weighs 55lbs.Life is good..lost my best friend to cancer in May of 06,died in surgery, liver cancer..Rusty was my baby and I cry over him everyday.
