I have been studying biology for more than 30 years. I am co-author of a college biology textbook. In graduate school, I studied ecology, evolutionary biology, animal behavior, and developmental biology, but I have picked up a lot of physiology, molecular genetics and cell biology in the last few years. I recently wrote 50,000 words (like a small book) on how pharmaceuticals are developed. I didn't know much about that before I started, so I learned a lot...:-) but my brain got tired.

I like trying to explain complicated things in simple terms. It's good for me to play here, because people let me know right away when I'm unclear, long-winded, or irritating. I need to hear that! I also have a place to ask my own questions, which I have a lot of. Everbody here is so helpful and kind.
