Taking medication on an empty stomach
I'd like to know how long before and after eating constitutes an "empty stomach."

As long as there is food in the stomach to absorb the pill you can pretty much take it right with meals.

I think the general rule is 3 hours after eating is considered empty.

Call an emergency room and ask ,they will be happy to answer your question.

I'm on medication that requires an empty stomach, and I was told 2 hours after eating and then to wait another hour to eat after taking the pill.
