Niaspan maybe?

If it is, according to 2007 Mosby's Drug Reference for Medical Professionals advises to avoid the use of alcohol while taking this med as it will increase flushing (redness) and puritus (itching).

If you are taking this drug for hyperlipidemia you should avoid it completely.
