Ok, so I was taking Microgestin for a YEAR and finally just read the side effects. I had gone to the doctor a few weeks back thinking that something was wrong with my thyroid or something was wrong with me because I gained 50 pounds in a year. It was my birth control. What does everyone else recommend? I'm doing research before my Feb. 6th appointment, as I want my medication switched to something that won't cause all these horrible side effects. Some of the side effects sounded almost like you're having a stroke. I'm almost afraid to continue taking it.

Any and all information will be greatly appreciated. I also fully expect to see j_9 in here and hear her wonderful advice, she is always so helpful in this area.
