NO!! I found it in my house and was scared for my child, but i found out it was just a pain pill. so we are fine now. You did not tell me what it was. i dont want people just dropping their meds around my house for my baby to pick up. glad i found it first!

I understand your concern.

For anyone to explain what they think a pill is without seeing it,well,we could be wrong.period.

The online sites to identify pills by coding are great,as long as the person trying to do the identifying is totally correct while looking for it.

In this site the question gets asked a lot,to put it mildly.

If I had told you that it was a laxative, would you have accepted that as fact? What if I said it was rat poison?

The only way to be sure would be to take it to a pharmacist.

They can ID any medication,or tell you it isn't a medication but rodent control(or whatever it might be)

Please don't think this site (or me) is wrong for doing this.for your safety(and for your child) I asked what I did.

If you look through the site for answers to the question you have asked you might find this response correct.

The rating of responses is also in the site rules, and the disagree response is for factually incorrect responses, not if you are upset that your question wasn't answered to your liking, hense the 'balancer' given as this wasn't an incorrect answer, just one you didn't expect.

Hope you look further into this site and see it for what it is worth.

KBC

Appears you already know but it's Darvocet. The shape, size, markings all match. You can always take medication you can't identify, don't recognize, find, to your local Pharmacist and ask him/her to ID for you.

He/she may not be familiar with every over the counter medication but will recognize prescription medications and/or can look them up.

I have the PDR handbook and that's how I found this.

Hi, LUCK and Anyone Else Who Has Responded to This Question!

To be really sure of what it is, please take it to a pharmacist who can see you and it in-person, visit with you about it and dispose of it properly, if that's needed.

I'd like to help you. However, you don't know me and I don't know you. I could use an online drug identification site or maybe even an in-hand drug reference of some kind to make an educated guess, but I'm human and I could make a mistake and I wouldn't want to take the risk of me being incorrect about the identification of it, would you?

For someone, other than a pharmacist who can see a pill in person, to advise a person as to the positive identification of a pill, would seem to me to be an irresponsible thing to do.

This isn't a site that's designed specifically for the identification of pills.

Thanks!
