anti anxiety pills, suggestions ?

I have been taking efixor for going on two years now. for the first year and a half i was taking 75 mg a day, and when that did no good, they put me on 150 mg's day.
Ever since i first started taking the pill i have been experiencing weakness, fatigue, constant shaking of the hands and legs, and the symptom most describe as an electronic jolt through their head and body.
Since i got switched up to 150 mg's a day i have been suffering severe headaches and naseua, ALL OF THE TIME without fail. Along with all the other symptoms i've grown accustomed to..
I get this other feeling too.. i there is no way for me to describe it though, other then just "weird". But regarless my doctor insists i stay on the pill.. I've hated these pills from the get go..
Could someone tell me if it IS the pills causing thesereactions and if so, how do i convince the doctor to try something else, when his mind is dead set on not changing them.

Two things: First, what did your Doctor say was the reason for staying on the medication?
Second: Have you had a second opinion from another doctor?

If I have the drug right, Effexor (I think), that's the most nastiest anti-depressant that I have ever tried.

Find another doc. You should not have to suffer with all those side effects. Bear in mind selection is a trial and error approach.

As KeepItSimpleStupid stated,it is high time you found another doctor.
Do not stop the medication until you get something to replace it and if your symptoms become severe,go to an emergency room.

Bring all your meds and documentation with you!

When you doctor isn't listening, its time to find someone who does.

Remember this ,YOU are PAYING them for a service.
If they don't deliver ,you cant get back what you lost!

KeepItSimpleStupid agrees: A bit more persuasive, I hope!
