myofascial pain syndrome

Does anyone know treatment for myofascial pain syndrome? Have been told this is what is happening in my leg and it seems to be getting worse. I do trigger release, massage with a therapist.. also chiropractor. It does not feel as if it is getting any better.

I had deep myofascial massage when my back was going into spasms. You should call up a physical therapist and ask if they do deep myofascial massage. It hurts when it is done correctly I must caution you about that in case they don't. It did take me about 12 sessions (2 per week) and I had permanent relief. They must go to school for this type of massage also so ask if they went to school for this. Don't just assume that they did.

thankyou twinkiedooter... I have been getting deep massage but only once a month..I did go to the doctor's and they put me on Lyrica.. but litte hesitant with this drug with all the side effects...doing the trigger release and massage at home but not as good as a therapist. from what you mentioned i should be getting therapy more often that what i am getting... thank you for the help.
