Metoprolol Succ Er vs.Flecainide

I've seen two cardiac electrophysiologists lately for my paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia problems. One of them prescribed Metoprolol Succ Er while the other prescribed Flecainide. I'm not taking any other medication other than Entecavir (and multi-vitamins).
How are these two drugs different and which one may be a better choice for me?
