I have been experiencing mild internal pain on right side around hip. My family Doc has done blood and other prelim tests including ultrasound and found nothing alarming. After 2 months it seems it is showing up again with constant pain increasing while coughing, changing position etc. Want to take some guesses though I am waiting for specialist appt. By the wayu I am 52 yrs healthy male without any medication. advise.

Hi, Charles,
I am not a Doctor, nor a Professional in this area.
I do agree with all your other answers about seeing a Doctor.
It could be kidney infection, urinary tract infection, sprained back muscle, or a pinched never, etc.
Only a doctor can tell you exactly what it is. I do wish you the best.

Your question should actually be for a separate thread but I will say this:

Even as a nurse for 20 yrs. I know not to try & diagnose myself for most health problems. At your age there are screening tests you should have. Wait to see what the specialist advises, otherwise any other "guess" at this time might cause you useless worry.

I have a bit of trouble with hip pain(cannot bear weight on it when attempting to stand) Turned out it wasn't a degeneration of my hip at all (which I thought it was) but it was neurological, come from my lumbar spine. However, I knew it was something orthopedic and not necessarily internal organ related, based on the location & sensation of the pain. I r'cd no medication but exercises for treatment, & it works well (rarely have the pain now)
So I hope you have nothing or something benign.
We all want to be blessed with good health........forever!
keep in touch!
