Genetic Research

I am a student pursuing a Masters Degree. For my Thesis I was thinking of doing research on the correlation of specific eye colors and genetic disorders or immunological disorders. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'm finding little.

Is there reason to believe that there is a correlation between eye color and genetic or immunological disorder to begin with?

I was just watching a medical show on television, actually it was a marathon, called Mystery Diagonsis, and I noted that 12 out of the 16 people had green eyes. I brought this up to my microbiology professor and she suggested that this might be a great thesis subject.

Sure, it would be IF there was a connection...but your question interested me and I googled it for quite a bit several ways, and found nothing.

What is your major?

My major is Nursing with a concentration in research. I have Googled and Yahooed nad even Medlined, all to no avail . But the correlation was intriguing. The number of green eyes and disorders was too much to ignore. I understand it might just be a coincidence, but it just really caught my "eye" (brown by the way). I look forward to hearing from you.

While not accepted by most regular medcine you may want to review
Iridology Studies , this teaches specific issues with the eyes can tell you many of the health problems that a person has.

Whilst not being able to find anything on the original question from J_9,I did find ths link to the Genetic Disorders Library, which research students might find useful. It is easy to navigate, and each title leads to a link, with info on the chosen subject.

What are Genetic Disorders?

My curiosity is that if I am not going to find a lot on this subject, could it be a worthwhile subject to study?
