Most people will have no side effects at all. When you donate plasma, you take fluid from your body. You need to replenish that by drinking non-alcoholic beverages (lots of water). You might have some dizziness and possibly faint, but that's rare.
Here's another thread where the same thing is being discussed:

I donated plasma for the first time yesterday and it was a bad experience for me. Since I had trouble breathing, lost my eye sight and I "fainted" after that lasted for two minutes. I had a terrible headache and I had to be sitting down to avoid feeling dizzy. Then I began vomiting. I fell asleep and today I feel better.

This first time I donated I went into cardiac arrest and nearly died. Csl wasted no time sending reps to make sure my bills were paid and the whole mess was under the rug. Don't listen to the bs reviews saying it is harmless. Most are probably written by people paid to do so in order to spread positive propaganda. My case was rare but there is no doubt in my mind that the long term effects are horrific. But who cares? It's just a place for the servants of capitalism to kill themselves slowly. Right? No!! Wrong! Stop donating!

I happy to see that you are doing better, but I can understand your problem. I would report them to FDA. That's what I'm doing with the problem that I had.
Once you get to the backroom with all the tables you are on your own. They should be A MEDICAL STAFF, not trained needle pokers.

I've been donating twice a week for almost three months now. I am a 21 year old male standing 6'3" and 209 pounds. The only problems that I have had physically is a few times I have been in a rush to get out and go somewhere so as soon as the process was finished, I promptly stood up and began to quickly walk out. By doing so I was a little lighted but not even enough to make me stop walking. Three months ago I was 212 pounds so nothing has drastically changed about my weight. There has been two instances where, though probably not good for me, I went on a run consisting of 4 miles the first instance and 5 the next, and was completely normal compared to a run where I hadn't donated in a few days.
My overall evaluation if donating is bad for you is that it is not. Like I said, no bad experiences nor long term deficiencies.

I recently heard that donating plasma will almost deteriorate your immune system, is that true? Also biomats around the us are letting people donate no more than two times a week , is this harmful to our bodies?
