what is this leg, hi groin pain

i have been experiencing hip/pelvis pain continuosly for the past 3 weeks, i have been signed of work and am on tramadol, the pain i get is burning around the bone, aching around the hip, pains down my leg, it is affecting my everyday life, i cannot work, i cannot drive without dis-comfort, find it difficult to get comfortable and get to sleep at night, it stiffens up also, i get a limp if i'm on it for to long... i had an x-ray on monday which came up with a slightly higher bone density to the other side?? all of this is on my right side only, i have no problems with my left side... i also thought my groin was slightly swallon but that didn't show on the x-ray...i am waiting for an orthopedic appointment.... i feel no body seems to care as i am 29 yrs old and a doctor told me the other day it will be nothing as i'm to young to have problems... i also feel no-one has looked into my health history as maybe something could be conected?? when i was 15 i had a lump removed from my neck and diagnosed with cherg strauss syndrome...when i was 19 i had a loop exision performed for pre-cancerous cervical cancer... after this i experienced gynea problems, after 8 months was told i had clymidia, which i was treated for only to find out months later i still had it and was treated again.. i still carried on with gynea problems and pelvc pains, have had plenty of laporoscopies, one of which found adhesions in my right tube... carried on with pelvic trouble, was diagnosed with pelvic imflammatory disease, have taken diclofenac on and of for the past 8 yrs when i have a flare up, have had back problems and physio and diagnosed with muskelo skeleto problem in my back, this only causes problems every now and again.... last year i was also diagnosed with subacute lupus... so you see my medical history is not so great and i actually know none of my family history as i am adopted.... could all that i have been diagnosed with possible come together to explain now why i am having so much pain with my hip....its getting to the point where i'm feeling very down as i cannot live my everyday life at the moment...hopefully someone can help and take my other health problems into consideration. thank-you

I have experienced Sciatica before and the pain sounds similar.
Often times the pain runs through the buttocks down the leg but I have had it where it was in my hip as well.

The best treatment for Sciatica is bed rest and moist heat along with pain meds and often times muscle relaxers.

It would be unwise to try to diagnose your symptoms on line to try to say definitively that your problem is gynecologic in nature. You need to present that information to your ortho doctor when you see him.

If your medication is not effective, you need to ask your doctor for something stronger until you can be seen.

The problem with taking pain medication is a false sense of feeling O.K. and overdoing things thereby causing further damage and complicating the healing process.Keep that in mind.

redhed35 agrees: good point about the pain medication.
