i have a small colorless and pain free bump on my chest

about two or three months ago i noticed a small bump on my chest between my breast. the bump had no color and didnt hurt so i really payed it no attention. today i messed with it and a lot of white puss oozed out. i squeezed it untill everything was out and when i let go the bump seemed to be gone. when i squeez it i can see where the bump was but thats now the only time i can see it. i would like to know what tis bump is and if it will cause any problems in the future.

I had sort of a similar thing not too long ago; I had a bump on my chest that didn't hurt when I pushed on it, but it wouldn't go away. I went to the doctor to ask about it (what is health insurance for, after all?) and the Dr. said it didn't look like anything serious, but it looked like it "needed to be popped" EWW! She advised me to apply warm compresses to it, which would probably encourage it to go away. I did this a few times, got busy, forgot, and before I knew it, it was gone. I didn't have the pus like you did, but I would say if you aren't experiencing a fever or any other unusual symptoms, it's probably nothing to worry about. My Dr. told me we get bumps for no good reason and they just go away all the time, nothing to worry about. Now, if you have a bump that hurts, is black, larger than a pencil eraser, or spreads, then you should get checked out. Given how you described the bump you had, it's probably nothing to worry about. Then again, I'm not a health professional.... can you call your Dr's office and ask a nurse on the phone?
