After suffering from a seizure

I have just come out of a seizure today,I don't know how long I was out, just waking up to noises, too loud for sure, and light that was too bright.

It took 2 hours to acclimate myself to normalcy, than a trip to the hospital, only to get a 6 hour work over and no real answers(typically the response from the local hospitals, small town, small minds )

They did, however, up my Depakote to 2000 mg daily, but, they also stated my liver enzymes were high from taking 1500 mg Depakote what to do?

Do I keep taking Depakote like prescribed and suffer liver damage?Or is there another medication I can get to treat this ailment?

Any ideas?

KBC

Do you see any specialists for these seizures???

Depakote, if not doing the trick and causing other problems.

Is there a possibility of trying you on other medications???

I know every medicine has its side effects but maybe there are medicines that will work better for you???

If your using depakote for epilespy I will state that there are many other medications out there that can be used for treatment. It is up to you and your doctor to come up with suggestions.

P.S. No matter what continue with the medication you are on. By stopping it or changing it abruptly could cause severe damage. So please change or lower or try other medicines only with the advice of a doctor.
