Does plaque in carotid cause split vision and what are treatments
I was diagnosed with plaque in my carotids after having a doppler test done. The reason for the test is that I am experiencing split(not double) vision. The symptoms are too short to be visual migraines. I have 2 questions... can plaque in my carotids cause split vision and what are the likely treatment options? I am 40 and did a full physical with an EKG, full blood panels, MRI and MRA and I was in the green across the board with this 1 huge exception.

    Thank you.

Artery plaque [ 2 Answers ]

I have been told once calcified plaque in the coronary arties has formed it can not be removed. And must be bypassed. You can prevent additional plaque from forming. The coronary plaque that breaks off and float to another area Is not the calcified plaque. Or is it?
