treatment for shingles

I suspect that I have shinges. I understand that there is a shot that will help. How long a time frame is there from the onset to time of the shot.?

What are your symptoms...?

Usually, if you're given antiviral medication within a few days of acquiring shingles, your chance of recovery's very good...if not, then these are the possible treatments:

antiviral medication

pain meds such as aspirin, ibuprofen, etc...just to give some relief.

corticosteroids with antiviral meds

topical antibiotics for the rashes (if you have any)
