Lump In Groin Area

I have a lump in my groin area. I have seen two doctors for this, my regular family doctor and my OBGYN. I received two different answers. My regular family doctor told me it was an ingrown hair. My OBGYN told me it was clogged sweat glands. How do I know what it is? And how can I cure it?

Everyone's first reaction is to squeeze it and try to pop it. Dont do that!! You could only make things worse depending on what it is. Can you describe it a little better for me? Does it have a head? Is it hard or soft??
