Although a doc is recommended, if you were recently sick and in otherwise good health then use the tried and true remedies:

    1. Cranbery juice
    2. Chicken broth
    4. Lot's of fluids, particularly water. Whenever you go, drink 8 oz of water. Thirsty or not.
    5. Tylenol is bad for the kidneys in high doses, so be careful.

Kidney aches are sometimes part of getting sick. Really bad pain may be due to kidney stones.
